Web designer, software engineer, and enthusiastic open-sourcer

My passion is building ethical software that makes the
world a better place. I support open source and believe
privacy is important in the digital age.

Hi, my name is

Spike O'Carroll

I’m a web developer, graphic designer and Software Engineering student based in Irvine, California. I began programming on GitHub in 2016 where I discovered the fantastic network of collaboration and creativity that is the open source community.

Hear it from
my clients.

Spike creates the design you envision and then enhances it with his high-tech capabilities and creative flair. Spike’s acumen and intuitive spice enhanced our website enormously. Spike illuminated our message with such clarity that one of our products was offered funding within the first week of going live. We are excited to continue to expand our website with Spike.

Lori Singer
Actress, Director, Writer-Producer

Spike was an absolute joy to work with on this project. He is extremely responsive, professional, and communicative. I loved the process from the start- Spike presented clear branding ideas and options that were in line with the company's core values. Throughout the process, Spike accepted and executed notes in a timely and effective manner. He guided us through the process of going live and we couldn’t be more pleased with the final result! It's aesthetically pleasing, easy to navigate, and formatted perfectly.

I built an experimental private-by-default web browser using Electron to better understand how the Internet works. It has been downloaded over 25,000 times on GitHub.
